Yamaha Motor Company Limited is a Japanese motorcycle manufacturer which was initially a subsidiary of Yamaha Corporation, the world’s largest piano manufacturer. The company gained notable credibility in the market of motorized vehicles since July 1, 1955. Currently, the company is the second largest manufacturer of motorcycles in the world. Other motorized vehicles manufactured by Yamaha are the all-terrain vehicles, boats, snowmobiles, outboard motors, and personal watercraft.
The first generation of the Yamaha Venture made its debut in 1983 and evolved over the years. The Yamaha Venture Royale, model XVZ12TK, is powered by a 4-stroke, 1198 cc engine. This 4-cylinder, V-type engine is liquid cooled. It has a compression ratio of 10.5 to 1. An electric starter gets this bike on the move. The bike is equipped with a 5-speed gearbox. The ignition system consists of a battery full transistor ignition. The bike skeleton consists of tubular steel, double cradle frame. The bike has a caster type steering. The braking system of the bike consists of disc brakes in the front and in the rear. There are telescopic fork suspensions in the front and swingarm suspensions in the rear. The Venture Royale is endowed with air/coil spring, oil damper shock absorbers in the front and the rear.
Later on in 1999, the Venture name tag was used for the Royal Star bikes by Yamaha. The latest in line of the Royal Star Venture was released in 2006 and it featured a 1294 cc V4 engine and belongs to the segment of luxury cruiser. |
