| Nickelback is a rock band founded in 1995. The name of the band came into being since one of the members, Mike Kroeger, frequently had to give a nickel back as change to customers at his former workplace, a Starbucks coffee shop. The current members of the Nickelback group include lead vocalist and guitarist Chad Kroeger, guitarist Ryan Peake, bass guitarist Mike Kroeger and drummer Daniel Adair. After their 2003 “The Long Road” album, Nickelback is all set for a new release for 2006 with their new album “All the Right Reasons”, under Roadrunner Records. The group’s new drummer Daniel Adair joined just in time for the making of this album, contributing to its multifaceted style. The album is aimed at a diverse group of fans and would appeal equally to listeners of the metal, pop, and hard rock genres of music. “Photograph” is one of the most personal songs on the album with Kroeger taking a trip down memory lane to his teenage years, the days of his first kiss, hanging out with friends, breaking the rules... The album features a song, “Side of a Bullet”, which is a tribute to the Pantera/Damageplan guitarist “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott who was shot and killed onstage. The song has been written by Kroeger. Nickelback had also collaborated with Darrell Abbott on a cover of Elton John’s song “Saturday Night’s Alright (For Fighting)” which appeared on “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle” soundtrack. |
