Robert Kelly (a.k.a. R Kelly) is one of the foremost R&B singers in America. His most famous song is "I Believe I Can Fly," an inspirational and family-friendly ballad from the film Space Jam that won him several Grammies. This song, however, is not representative of all of Kelly's body of work, as much of his work features strong sexual themes. He then went on to produce for legends like Michael and Janet Jackson, solidifying his credibility as a serious songwriter and artist. Subsequent years have brought more great music and more scandal from the larger-than-life R Kelly. The double concept album R in 1998 was a high point, while an infamous sex scandal was a definite low.
