ZZ Top, affectionately known by their fans as "That little ol' band from Texas", is an American blues rock band formed in 1969 in Houston, Texas. The band was formed from rival psychedelic bands, the Moving Sidewalks (guitarist Billy Gibbons) and the American Blues (bassist Dusty Hill and drummer Frank Beard). The band is known for hits such as "Legs," "Sharp Dressed Man," and "La Grange". They hold the distinction of being one of the few rock combos still comprising its original members after more than 35 years, along with the same manager/producer, Bill Ham.
As everybody who has followed the band knows, the band is characterized by their long beards, sunglasses, their 1940’s Ford hot rod and the ZZ keychain. For all ZZ Top fans and rock memorabilia collectors, the ZZ Top keychain is a highly valuable collectible. A typical keychain would include the silver “ZZ” logo and is more often than not crisply detailed to reflect the band’s true blue Texas image. Key chains come in a variety of sizes including include 95mm X 25mm. The keychain is present in some band videos as well and is very closely associated with the band.
The value of the key chain would be higher if it is in mint condition. The value of the keychain also depends a lot on its rarity. Consequently unique key chains would command a premium. |
