The TSX is a medium-size sports sedan launched by Honda in the year 2004 and is sold under the Acura brand. It is endowed with an i-VTEC engine that has four cylinders and a maximum of 205 horsepower. Its i-VTEC engine produces an instantaneous response from the vehicle no matter whether one is speeding on the road or braking to a halt. Optimum utilization of fuel is achieved by virtue of its âProgrammed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI)â feature. The Variable Timing Control (VTC) is another important feature of this engine. The body of the Acura TSX uses high-tensile steel for added strength. The TSX features a technologically advanced power-assist rack-and-pinion steering system that assists the driver when making difficult maneuvers on the road. A sophisticated voice-recognition feature is available that can recognize over 650 voice commands. The TSX is elegant and features comfortable leather seats besides having an Automatic Climate Control System. In addition, it has an excellent 8-Speaker, 360-watt sound system with a Dash-in CD Changer and XM Satellite Radio. The Acura TSX possesses front and rear crumple zones that are designed to absorb the force of impact in case of a collision from the front or the rear. There are also strong, tubular door beams designed to protect a side impact. The airbags and seatbelts are some of the additional safety features of this vehicle. The TSX has been chosen by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety as the âBest Pickâ in an impact from the front. Since its introduction in 2004, the Acura TSX has featured on Car and Driverâs Ten Best list for three consecutive years. |
