Aluminum trailers are motor-less vehicles generally pulled by a motored vehicle. They can also be attached to bi-cycles or other man-powered vehicles. Depending on the type of vehicle you own, and what you intend to transport, there is a wide range of trailers for you to choose from. Aluminum is a strong, weather-friendly metal and being light-weight, it proves to be the best and most widely used in trailer manufacturing. Platform trailers are designed to transport large goods; so these trailers need to have good stability due to theyâre strong road holding. The loading floor is directly above the wheels giving you optimal loading volume for anything from construction material to household goods. Platform trailers can have a single-axle or a twin-axle, the latter for heavier goods. These trailers usually come with a braking system. Leisure trailers are smaller versions of the platform trailers and are used to transport lighter goods. Livestock trailers, used to transport livestock come in different sizes and styles depending on the size of the animal and whether there is a roof or not. Trailers with high-roofs are top-heavy so these trailers need to be very stable to prevent from tipping over. Horse trailers come with special securing harnesses to reduce movement of the animal while the vehicle is in motion. Boat trailers also have special securing equipment, and different types of trailers are suited for particular types of boats. Motorbike trailers usually allow you to transport one, two or even three bikes at a time and also have provisions to accommodate ATVs or quad-bikes. Aluminum trailers are slowly gaining popularity, and look set to replace traditional steel trailers which tend to rust and corrode over a period of time. Whatever the need may be, there is an array of trailers available to service the customerâs requirements. |
