Fleetwood Enterprises, Inc. is the largest manufacturer of recreational vehicles (RVs) in the United States. The company started its operations in 1950 and has been providing the public with motor homes, travel trailers, and folding campers every since. Some feel there is a Fleetwood RV to fit every traveler's needs and budget. A Fleetwood motor home is perfect for those people who want to take all the comforts of home on the trip. The typical Fleetwood motor home is 26 to 34 feet long, comfortably sleeps four people, has a full-size kitchen, contains a separate toilet and shower area, and is equipped with plenty of overhead storage. However all of these extra amenities come with a hefty price tag, with new models starting at $72,100. If you don't need quite that much space or don't want to pay quite that much for an RV, Fleetwood also sells mini motor homes. Models like the Tioga, which is a Class C motor home, can sleep up to five and features a complete kitchen and enclosed bathroom. A brand new Tioga cost around $58,387. If that price is still too rich for your blood and you own a full-size truck, consider purchasing a Fleetwood travel trailer. The Mallard, which only cost about $12,000 new, is a good example of a travel trailer that will provide you with just about all of the same comforts as a motor home. The Mallard can be configured to sleep up to eight people, is equipped with a kitchen, and has an optional outdoor shower. For those adventurers who simply need protection from the elements, a Fleetwood camper is a practical option. The pop-up and folding camping trailers are very lightweight, so they are perfect for remote locations. Plus, they can be attached to just about any vehicle--even some ATVs. Of course, a good way to get a great Fleetwood for even less money is to buy used. Used Fleetwood RVs, often in very good shape, can be found on eBay Motors, often for dramatically lower prices than you would pay for the same RVs new. |
