About Honda 250r Four Wheeler
Quads are of two kinds Utility Quads that are used by farmers to get around their huge farms and Sports Quads that are used for leisure. Honda 250R is a quad bike; it is a four-wheeler that runs on all terrain hence also called an All Terrain Vehicle (ATV). Honda FourTrax 250R followed on the footstep or more apt the wheel tracks of the popular 1980s ATC 250R, which was a three-wheeler. The FourTrax made its debut in 1986 making a niche for itself in the ATV market. Its 246cc, two-stroke engine with reed valve induction is reminiscent of the race proven ATC 250R engine. The engine is liquid cooled. The FourTrax is equipped with 6-speed transmission and a unique box-section frame. It features vibration-canceling counter-balancer. The front suspension has long double-wishbone architecture while the rear suspension is Pro-Link single-shock. The braking system comprises of a trio of hydraulic disc brakes with twin-piston calipers in the front and the rear, for each wheel to bring this vehicle to a halt. The 250R was in production for 3 years with each new model rolling out of the production line with minor changes. In 1988, the FourTrax came with lighter aluminum wheels and radial knobby tires. The 250R has laid the foundation for the 2001 Sportrax series of Honda such as the 300EX and 400EX.
