A Yamaha snowmobile is a terrestrial vehicle that is designed to be used on snow. It is a vehicle which moves on two rubberized tracks or belts, alongside built-in skis. During their initial days, snowmobiles were powered with two-stroke engines, which consumed more fuel and were also detrimental to the environment, due to the exhaust. Yamaha was one of the first snowmobile manufacturers to introduce the less-polluting four-stroke engines. Most of the Yamaha snowmobiles, are grouped under the rough trail, groomed trail, trail versatility, mountain performance, and touring versions. The rough trail snowmobile models include the Apex RTX, Nytro, Nytro ER, Phazer FX, and Phazer. All these models use four-stroke engines, ranging from 80 FI to 150 FI. The sleds of each of the snowmobiles have been reinforced to ride over dunes and ditches with equal ease. The groomed trail snowmobiles include the Apex ER, Apex GT, RS Vector ER, RS Vector GT, Phazer GT. The trail versatility snowmobiles cover a range of models such as the Attak, Attak GT, RS Rage, and the RS Rage GT. The engines of all of these sturdy machines are created with endurance in mind. The suspension and the body framework are also strengthened talking into consideration rough terrain over which these vehicles are run. The mountain performance snowmobiles, such as the Apex Mountain and the RS Vector Mountain can retain their acceleration even in deep snow. The touring snowmobiles combine style with functionality. The VK Professional Work snowmobile has an underseat storage facility. Parts for these vehicles can be easily obtained either from dealers or online. |
