Corbin is one of the leading motorcycle seat manufacturers in the world. Since 1968, they have been creating some of the most unique and innovative designs for two, three and four-wheeler seats. Back in 1965, founder Mike Corbin rode his Norton Atlas, with his own custom designed seat to a motorcycle rally in New Hampshire. He ended up selling that same seat for $40. He later went on to make seats for friends as a hobby, but the increasing demand for his custom-made seats impelled him to leave his full-time job and design vehicle seats for a living. Corbin seats are made of a fiberglass base-plate with high-density, firm foam as the cushion. Though initially riders may find the seat a little too hard, it offers the right support for the rider, reducing body stress. The seats are then covered in top-grade durable leather giving it that great 'custom' style. Besides seats, Corbin also designs motorcycle saddle bags with unique paint jobs. Furniture was one of Corbin's exploratory ventures, with products like the 'Hot Rod Couches' and the 'Indian' style recliner chair. They have even begun production of their line of environmentally friendly automobiles and started designing new concept cars. With over 37 patents (and growing), it is easy to see their raw passion for design and commitment for fashioning unique, high-quality products. These products are not limited to hard-core motorcycle enthusiasts but to anyone who wants to add that personal touch to their machines. |
