Jeep became a registered trademark of DaimlerChrysler, when Daimler-Benz joined the Chrysler Corporation in 1998. Jeep was originally a term used to identify the Bantam BRC which was manufactured by Willys-Overland and Ford Motor Company during WWII. There are many companies that manufacture and sell Jeep spare parts but Mopar parts and accessories are protected under the DaimlerChrysler Corporation's limited warranty. Other Jeep part manufacturers include Detroit Locker, Tom Woods, Superlift, Bestop, Dana/Spicer, Advance Adapters, Warn, Rock Krawler, New Venture Gear and JeepBox. These companies manufacture every spare part from tires to blinkers, and bumpers to axels. They offer parts for all Jeep branded vehicles like the Liberty, the Grand Cherokee, the Wrangler, the Commander, the Compass, and the Patriot. Mopar manufactures parts and accessories exclusively for Jeep. The parts are made by the same corporate teams that develop the vehicle. They use the same stamping dies that are used during the original production of the vehicle. The company boasts of using high quality materials offering exact fits, matching colors and finish to the original factory product. When a Jeep is sent to Mopar, the parts and accessories are installed by expert factory-trained technicians to work in harmony with the rest of the vehicle. |
