Ford Ranchero 1979

Ford Motor Company (incorporated in 1903) was founded by American legend, Henry Ford and currently sells automobiles worldwide including sell outs such as Lincoln Navigators, Mercury, Jaguar, Auston Martin, Land Rover, and Volvo. They also own one-third of Mazda and are listed as the largest automaker in the world. Designed and manufactured by the Ford Motor Company, the Ford Ranchero was targeted at the North America car market. It was also The King of Rock 'n' Roll, Elvis Presley's favorite car. The Ford Ranchero was first released in 1957. It was inspired by the full sized Ford Fairlane platform. Two distinct models were available in the market namely, a standard no-frills, down to earth model and the Ford Ranchero Custom, a fully accessorized car. The standard Ford Ranchero was targeted towards farmers and other traditional pickup truck buyers, whereas the Ford Ranchero Custom was designed with options that were available in the Ford Fairlanes such as two-tone paint and stainless steel body side moldings. Both cars had a 352 in³ (5.8 L), the same engine that was installed in the Ford Fairlanes. The 1979 Ford Rancheros were often fitted with a 400 in³ (6.6 L) if asked to by the buyer. Though the initial accessories were still built in, additional luxuries were also installed on request. The Ford Ranchero was manufactured between 1957 and 1979. Today they often catch the attention of a keen collector.
