About Honda Accord

If there is a car that transformed the landscape of American sedans (for the better), it was the Honda accord. The Accord was introduced in the 1980s. Until that time, American drivers marginalized Japanese cars as 'cheap' and 'small.' The public perception of the time was that big was beautiful; American car manufacturers were still in a late 1970s mode of auto making.Little did we know, but 'cheap' and 'small' can be good things when it comes to automobiles. Add those two adjectives to 'reliable,' and you've got a formula for success. The Honda Accord is a luxury sedan, and its best-selling sedan status year after year supports this contention. Consumer reviews are overwhelmingly positive, praising the Accord's ability to keep running no matter how long or hard they are driven. Today, there are plenty of different Accord varieties, including the Accord Wagon, Accord Coupe, and Accord Hybrid. The wagon is a new foray for Honda, with seating for seven. The Accord Coupe, available for a few years now, gives a sporty edge to luxury. The Accord Hybrid, with a combination gas/electric engine, is environmentally friendly at 29 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway. Finding parts and a good mechanic is easy if you have a Honda (although Honda enthusiasts insist you won't need one). Reliability is a virtue that cannot be overstated when it comes to automobiles. Even the fastest Ferrari is worthless if it doesn't run. Hondas tend to stay on the road through thick and thin, and that's why they are perennially popular.
