General Motors is more than just the largest auto maker in the world; it's also the manufacturer of some of the coolest cars and trucks in automotive history. Cadillacs, Hummers, and even Saabs are all manufactured by General Motors. Some of GM's best loved and most distinctive cars and trucks are produced by their Chevrolet division. Like Buick, Pontiac, Saturn, Cadillac, and GMC, Chevrolet is a division of General Motors. Monte Carlos, Corvettes, Camaros, TrailBlazers, Suburbans, and Silverados are just a small number of the legendary cars made by GM under the Chevrolet marque. As of 2005, Chevrolet became the best-selling marque in the United States after outselling rival Ford for the first time in nearly 20 years. The K5 Blazer is a full-sized Chevrolet SUV (sport utility vehicle) that was manufactured between the years 1969 and 1994. The Blazer was renamed in 1994, when it became the Chevy Tahoe. The K5 Blazer closely resembles the GMC Jimmy, which was produced between 1970 and 1992 (at which time it became the GMC Yukon). For the first seven years of its production, the K5 Blazer was made with a removable top. In 1976, the K5 was modified to have a half-cab style body. The Chevrolet K5 Blazer could be purchased in either a two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive version. Other versions of the popular Blazer include the S Blazer, TrailBlazer, and the S-10 Blazer.
