The Mustang or the Ford Mustang was launched in the year 1965 in the New York's World Fair. The Mustang was a refreshing change from the usual large and bulky American cars. The Mustang looks compact, chic, and weighs approximately 2,550 pounds. The Ford Mustang was essentially inspired from the Ford Falcon Compact. The first white colored Mustang convertible was launched in Dearborn, Michigan on March 9, 1964. The Mustang is also known as the 2+2 or the ponycar. The Mustang was selected as the official Pace Car and more than 418,000 Mustangs were sold. The Mustang's style and sporty design coupled with relatively simple engineering made this car an eye-candy for many Americans. The power and the sleekness of the Mustang made this car Fords Rally car. The Mustang can be steered smoothly, even on bumpy roads. The Mustang appeared on the covers of both Times and Newsweek, due to its chic body and good performance. |
