Watercrafts are ships or boats made to float on and move across water for various purposes. Sea-Doo is a company that specializes in designing watercrafts for pleasure and sports. In 1968, it created the first-ever sit-down watercraft. In 2006, Sea-Doo came out with nine different models across four categories. In 2006, Sea-Doo came out with three GTX models for its Recreational category. These include the 2006 GTX, the 2006 GTX SC, and the 2006 GTX Limited. All three models share certain similar features. They are all 130.3 inches in length, with rider capacity of a maximum three people and storage capacity of 199 L. The engine is Rotax 4-TEC SOHC, four valves per cylinder, with multi-port fuel injection and 1494 cc/155 HP of displacement / HP. The cooling system is closed-loop. They all come with a digital inductive ignition, electric starter, and a 12-volt battery. All three models have a different fuel intake system. The GTX intake is naturally aspirated with a 52mm throttle body. The GTX SC has a supercharged intake with a 52mm throttle body. The GTX Limited has a supercharged intake with intercooler. The supercharged 1494cc four-stroke engine ensures high performance, both in fresh water and salt water. The Sea-Doo Learning Key limits the RPM and top speed for riders with limited or no experience. The GTX comes with a RPM limiter which protects the engine from over-revving. All the GTXs are fitted with dual automatic vacuum siphon pumps which continuously drain water from the engine compartment. The water/air separator gives maximum airflow and prevents water from entering the engine compartment. A Digitally Encoded Security System is the industry's first-ever digital anti-theft device which is available only with the Sea-Doo GTX. In 2005, out of every two watercrafts sold, one was a Sea-Doo. |
