Amateur hockey players can now take the ice with the hockey sticks that the pros use. Companies like Easton, CCM, and Vector are producing sticks that utilize the latest design elements in order to give players the highest level of stick (and puck) control possible. You can find brand-new sticks that are used by international hockey superstars as well as older sticks that are a throwback to a bygone era. The Easton Stealth is a stick that, according to manufacturers, is designed for handling. It's lightweight and it offers an easy grip. The added speed that the Stealth can offer is appropriate for offensive players, but it can also serve defensemen as well. Easton offers the Stealth and many of its other hockey sticks in a variety of lengths. Reebok produces sticks for all players on the ice. They have a line of goalie sticks that are designed to increase reach and ease of maneuverability in the crease. Like many of the new Reebok models, the CCM Vector was created for the faster, offensive-driven game that professional hockey seems to be transforming into. If you're a fan of the game but not necessarily a player of the game, you can find hockey sticks from various eras of the game that are ready for display. Many are autographed by the greats (including Wayne Gretzky, the Great One). There are also gold-plated hockey sticks available that commemorate important moments in the game and past Stanley Cup victories. |
