For those whose golf game is above average, the Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x are here to make your head spin and your game continue to soar. Titleist has now made improvements on a ball that Ernie Els and Phil Mickelson have already proven to be possibly the best on the market. The two different models on the market now even fit different swing characteristics. It's hard to ignore a ball that improves on the already astounding performances of golf's top pros. Many winners from every major tour can thank the Pro V1 for great speed and spin. This comes from its large, soft, and fast core as well as the urethane elastomer cover featuring 392 dimples. The dimple design is Titleist's own, as well. The Titleist Pro V1x golf ball was created with the very, very best golfers in mind. Though it sports a similar design to the Pro V1, the Pro V1x is tweaked to maximize high swing speeds and high lift launch conditions. It's best for top golfers who don't need much spin into the green. Its 332 dimples, 60 fewer than the Pro V1, give it a more penetrating flight in the air. Though weekend golfers might be tempted to try the best golf balls around, the Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x are really designed for top players. The $56 per dozen list price is also meant to suggest this boundary. If you're a high handicapped player, however, this may be just the ball you're looking for. Give the Pro V1 and Pro V1x a try and see if either is right for your game. |
