About Harry Carson Collectible

Harry Carson is a former football inside linebacker born on November 26, 1953. During his entire thirteen year career in the NFL, Carson played with the New York Giants. His hometown is Florence, South Carolina and was a part of the McClenaghan High School and later the Wilson High School football team. Carson played for the South Carolina State University for four years without missing a single game. Harry Carson was the first Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference player to win two consecutive 'Defensive Player of the Year' awards. In 1975, he was a first team selection on the College Football All-America Team. Carson broke school records with 117 tackles and 17 sacks. In 2002, Harry Carson was honored with a place in the College Football Hall of Fame. Out of the thirteen seasons he played for the Giants, he captained the team for ten seasons. He was also a member of the Crunch Bench; comprising of Carson, Brad Van Pelt, Brian Kelley, and Lawrence Taylor. This group of linebackers is considered as one of the best defensive combinations of in the history of the NFL. During his illustrious career in the NFL, he also made nine Pro Bowl appearances. He assisted the Giants to their first Super Bowl victory in Super Bowl XXI. Harry Carson was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in the year 2006. Harry Carson is still involved with the New York Giants. He has his own sports broadcasting company called 'Harry Carson Inc.'. He is currently hosting the Giants Game Plan aired on FOX, alongside Bob Papa. Harry Carson has reached legendary status, and it is of little surprise that any merchandise or memorabilia carrying his name or association is keenly sought after by football fans.
