The Chicago Bears are one of the most successful pro football teams ever, and the sales of Bears tickets generally reflect this. The Bears have had the most inductees to the Pro Football Hall of Fame of any NFL team, and they are nine-time world champions. Originally known as the Decatur Staleys, the Bears were started by the same man who founded pro football, George Halas. The American Professional Football Association later became the National Football League, and the Bears won their first title in 1921. George Halas was the Chicago Bears' coach for the next 40 years and, under his leadership, posted winning records in all but one season during the their first decade. In 1922, the Decatur Staleys became the Chicago Bears; the first player deal occurred when the Chicago Bears bought Ed Healey's contract from the Rock Island Independents. The first major signing came in 1925, when the Bears signed on Harold 'Red' Grange. Starting in Wrigley Field, the team's home stadium, the Bears and Grange went on a coast-to-coast tour, playing sixteen games in nine weeks. In 1997, the Chicago Bears became the first club in the National Football league to have its 600th win. The Bears now play in a revamped Solider Field and current stars include Brian Urlacher, Thomas Jones and Rex Grossman. George Halas remained influential with the Chicago Bears for the rest of his life. In return, the Bears are deeply loved by the Chicago community, which makes Bears tickets some of the most difficult NFL tickets to find. When looking to purchase Chicago Bears tickets, it's smart to buy early and consider the online market. See More Bears Tickets at Stubhub! |
