Disneyland, the Happiest Place on Earth, was the brainchild of animation (and marketing) genius Walt Disney. Disney founded his studio back in 1923 and this was where many of the characters that inhabit Disneyland were born, including Mickey Mouse and Snow White. Disneyland has traditionally featured rides that were based on their animated movies. These rides featured impressive robotics and illusions with the occasional thrill of a steep watery descent. Disney has always added new rides and attractions, though, so you can always count on something new each time you go. Plus, classics like the Matterhorn and Pirates of the Caribbean remain and crowd favorites such as The Haunted Mansion are continually updated. The original Disneyland is in Anaheim, California, but Disney has since opened parks throughout the world, including the three-park Disneyworld grouping in Orlando, Florida. Comprised of Epcot Center, MGM Studios, and the Magic Kingdom, a trip to Disneyworld is an experience that's unique when compared to other Disney parks. Most recently, Disney added the California Adventure just across the street from its original park. This park features more new thrill rides with roller coasters and free-fall drops. Because of the caché of these world-famous parks, tickets are a bit pricey. However, multiple day and multiple park passes are a bit more affordable. If you're planning on staying for a few days (and a few days are usually necessary in order to see everything), these Disney tickets are the way to go. See More Disney on Ice Tickets at Stubhub! |
