Unlike some musicians who realize their calling later in life, Kenney Chesney was a country music man from day one. Even when he was just starting out and performing in clubs that catered mostly to the blues, rock and folk genres, Chesney belted out his favorites by George Jones and Hank Jr. Once he had the chance to spend time in a studio and record some of his own songs, he knew right away what he wanted to do. Before he made it big, however, he played in a honky-tonk bar called the Turf for quite a spell; it was then that some folks at BMI came to check him out. An audition was arranged and he landed a contract with BMI's Opryland Group. After he had gotten a contract with Capricorn Records, he had a tough break when that label closed it's Nashville office. By this time, however, Chesney's songs had made the rounds and 'The Tin Man' especially attracted the attention of some other record executives. Soon he was signed to BNA records. Today Chesney is an up and coming country music star. Though not as famous as some of your traditional country music stars, like Tim McGraw or Faith Hill, for instance, Chesney is fast becoming a national sensation--his album When the Sun Goes Down went triple platinum and he was named the 2005 Country Music Awards 'Entertainer of the Year.' That said, it can be rather difficult to score Kenny Chesney tickets. Chensey tickets often sell out as soon as they go on sale, and those dying to see the man in concert must turn to other avenues for their tickets. If you find yourself in this bind, there are online auctions that may have Kenny Chesney tickets for sale.
