After a strong preseason start, the Minnesota Vikings have struggled thus far in the regular season. They started out with three wins and one loss in the preseason and have flip flopped that record to one win and three losses in the regular season. They'll need to kick their game into high gear if they want to have a shot at the post season in 2005. The Vikings are led again this year by returning starting quarterback Dante Culpepper. This is the sixth year the six foot four inch, 260 pound QB has started for the Vikings. Culpepper is a tough quarterback with an impressive record. He has the third highest career passing rating in the NFL and a Vikings record 69.2 percent pass completion in 2004. The Vikings have a tough defense too and they'll need to coordinate their offense, defense, and special teams if they want to come out of 2005 with a winning record. The Vikings have a good deal of work ahead of them still this season and they'll need all the fan support they can get to turn the year around. It's not too late for the Vikings in 2005, but they'll need to do something soon or get left behind by the stronger teams. Fans can do something for the team by attending games and showing their support, even if the team is struggling. In fact, fan support is especially important when the team is not doing well. It gives them an added boost they need to overcome the psychological hurdles a losing season imposes. If you want the Vikings to win, get out and see their games live.
