Beyblade is the latest in children's entertainment. What started off as spinning toys soon grew to a phenomenon among children of all ages. The Beyblade trend has invaded all markets from video gaming to cartoons, television, movies and all sorts of merchandizing. Beyblades are customizable tops with various features; these tops are put to the ultimate test as they battle against other tops in a mini arena called 'Beystadium'. These blades chase, attack, defend and collide against each other and the first blade to be thrown out of the 'Beystadium' loses. Different types of Beyblades include Attack type blades, Combination blades, Endurance blades, and Defense blades. The characteristics of each Beyblade such as strength and agility are determined according to their combination of features. The Attack Ring indicates the blades aggressiveness, the Weight Disk signifies balance, the Spin Gear signifies spin direction and the Blade Base signifies its movement pattern. Various Beyblade styles of attacks include the Tiger Claw, Crazy Cat, Wind Attack, Blind Attack, Fire Arrow, Strom Attack, Camecazie, Metalball Defence, Spin Fire, Fast ball Attack, Galux Scratch Attack, Bear Axe Attack, Sprial Survivor, Wyborg Attack, Draciel Fortress Attack, Graviton Kicker Attack, Flame Saber Attack and the Flamethrower. In the Beyblade electronic entertainment series, groups of Beybladers fight against each other during tournaments and matches. Each group is made up of 4 or more members, each with distinctive characteristics and styles of playing. The various groups are 'Bladebreakers', 'All Stars', 'White Tiger', 'Saint Shields', and 'Demolition Boy', led by Kai Hiwatari, Michael Parker, Lee, Ozuma , and Tala Valkov respectively. In 'Beyblade: The Movie', a new Beyblade team was introduced called 'Shadow Bladers'. Major gaming consoles like PlayStation 2, Nintendo, and Xbox feature Beyblade games.
