Konami Battlestar Galactica

Way back in the 1970s, Battlestar Galactica was a science fiction television series simulating the galactic war between Humans and Cyclons, at the end of the sixth millennium. Created as android slaves, the Cyclons were exiled to the stars when they revolted against Humans. However, they returned ten years later for revenge, devastating the twelve Colonies of Humans. The last few Human survivors fled into space aboard a fleet of spacecrafts led by Commander Adama's Battlestar Galactica, the only military ship to have survived the Cyclon attack. They embarked on an eternal crusade to search for the mythical refuge called Earth. Konami of Japan has reincarnated this series by launching the 'candy toys' from Battlestar Galactica. The term 'toy' pertains to the replicas that are more detailed than the actual large models used on the show. Some of these require minor assembly to push the pieces together. The set includes a wide variety of models of the different battleships and warriors. On an average, the models are three to four inches in size. The set features Battlestars Galactica, Atlantia and Pegasus, Cyclon Raider, Cyclon Base Star, Colonial Viper, Cyclon Centurian, Cyclon Commander. These models can be bought separately or as a complete set. In Japan, the candy toys are sold randomly in enclosed small boxes as trading figures or Collection Series. Only on opening the box can one know what it contains.
