Compiling Yugioh decks for competition requires a lot of thought, as you need to develop a cohesive strategy and contingency plans. What kind of monsters should you use? How many of each type of spell or trap card do you need? Do you have the right field cards to enhance your monsters? Many rare and powerful monsters have been released in booster packs of Yugioh cards. You can add Exodia to your deck and try to collect all five cards to win the game. You can also add Polymerization and ritual cards to your deck to unleash some of the most powerful monsters, including Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon, Dark Magician of Chaos, and Toon Summoned Skull. While every Yugioh card player should have strong monster cards like a Blue Eyes White Dragon (or three) in his deck, you can't just think about the offensive side of the duel. What if your opponent plays one, or uses Monster Reborn after destroying yours? Even worse, what do you do if your opponent ritually summons Relinquish and absorbs your most powerful monster? You'll need cards that can help you counter these monsters. These might be trap cards (like Trap Hole and Gravity Bind), spell cards (such as Dark Hole), or monsters with special effects (like Man Eating Bug or Penguin Soldier). By balancing Yugioh decks with monsters, spell cards, and trap cards, players give themselves the best chances to defeat opponents. |
