xBox 360 Premium

Microsoft launched the Xbox 360 in November 2005, the first entrant of the new generation of game consoles. It is the successor to Microsoft's Xbox which was released only a few years ago. The 360 is the first entrant into this soon to be intensely competitive segment, with the Sony Playstation 3 and the Nintendo Wii slated for release in the coming months.. The Xbox 360 is a powerful machine, with 3 PowerPC based processors running at 3.2 GHz each. Its ATI Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) is capable of processing 500 million triangles/sec. The Xbox has around 521MB of GDDR3 RAM. The 20GB detachable hard drive runs at 5400 rpm and this is used to store game data, music, photos, videos, and Xbox Live profiles. You also have 2 Memory unit card slots for storage of game data and profiles. The Xbox is equipped with a 12x dual layer DVD-ROM drive. 3 USB ports are made available for connecting controllers and other portable devices, though there is also support for wireless controllers. Microsoft's Room to Room Experience allows the use of 360 systems as a remote Media Center Extender system (MCE). This will enable MCE displays in different rooms that have a local network access to the main MCE system. The Xbox 360 is available in 2 packages; the Xbox 360 package (also referred to as the Premium package) and the Xbox 360 Core System. While the Core System has the basic components like the Console, 1 wired controller and the Composite AV Cable, the Premium package comes with a chrome finished console shell, a hard drive, wireless controller, Xbox Live Headset, Component HD AV Cable and an Ethernet Cable.
